So there I was, first day of bootcamp, new laptop, mouse and pad all stowed in my also new laptop bag ready start my new journey into learning how to code. The first week or so were by far the most nerveracking for me. I've always been good at building things and I've always had a love for technology so this seemed like the perfect marrige for two of my greatest passions. But just jumping straight into the deep end of the pool is always a little scary right? At first I felt overwhelmed, like I had no clue what I was doing(which was true) but after about ten days it started to click for me, and I started picking things up faster and faster. By the time we go to the end of the blog post project, which was really our first project in the class, I had was feeling really good about my progress and also my work to that point. And that lasted all of about to 1 day as our instructor went through all of our pages looking for cracks and if there were any, best belive Jason was going to find them. And as he was pointing out the links on my site that didnt work and text that wasn't quite aligned correctly I started to realize that I so much more to learn. From that day on I really focused in on the next two projects, the Bug Tracker and the Financial Portal with an API, and didn't just stop because I had created something that worked. Functionality is important but it is also very important that my work looks good as well. And that continued on until the very last day of graduation. I was still there at 9am that morning, still working on my bug tracker making sure that not only had all the deliverables been met, but that they looked great and were easy for the user to work with.
